Centro Médico ABC receives 2021 Cherry Pie Award

UPDATE: After more than a year, due to the Covid pandemic, the 2021 Cherry Pie Award was presented in-person on May 4, 2022, to José María Zubiría, administrator of Centro Médico ABS. The presentation was made at the 2022 Cherry Pie Festival at the U. S. Ambassador's Residence. Presenting the award to Mr. Zubiria was Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States to Mexico, Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath.

On Monday February 22nd, 2021 the ABS held their Annual General Meeting, celebrating its 153rd anniversary at its traditional Cherry Pie Festival. Due to the global pandemic, the event was held virtually.

ABS Board of Directors President, Mr. Bill Biese, presided over the meeting, which culminated in the awarding of the 2021 Cherry Pie Award to the front-line workers of the COVID-19 Pandemic of the Centro Médico ABC.



During the same meeting, the audience heard from leaders of the ABS, the American School, the U. S. Embassy, and ABC.
