ABS-sponsored Tai Chi classes have resumed

ABS Team

After more than two years we are thrilled to announce that the weekly Taoist Tai Chi classes have resumed on Tuesday’s at 10:00 am. Classes are held outdoors at Christ Church, Montes Escandinavos 405. There is a cost paid directly to the instructor of 500 pesos a month.

Taoist Tai Chi practice is a moving meditation that reduces stress and helps you find joy. Physically it will make you energetic, balanced, strong and supple.

Taoist Tai Chi was first introduced to North America by Master Moy Lin Shin. Master Moy Lin Shin, a Taoist master, dedicated his life to alleviating suffering by helping others cultivate themselves through the Taoist arts. Master Moy synthesized a powerful system for cultivating body, mind and spirit based on Taoist teachings as well as training he received from respected teachers in China and Hong Kong.

Taoist Tai Chi arts are the teachings of Master Moy Lin Shin which we continue to pass on. One of these arts is the 108 movement set. The external movements of the body are harmonized with the gentle internal movement, engaging the whole body and producing a deep feeling of relaxation.

Taoism teaches that health comes when body, mind and spirit work together in harmony. Taoist Tai Chi arts grew from this tradition and are a powerfully beneficial path of ultimate transformation.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Drop by for a free class during September and October. No reservation is necessary.
